26/1 Starryyelp
Just sitting wanting to unleash my creative energies. Not trying too, cause something doesn’t feel right. When it does, I shall unleash.
There is something anti-creative about using one medium. I hate that I have to sit in front of a computer to record my songs. I hate that my equipment is in one place.
Waiting for something.. don’t know what.
Todays song I actually recorded yesterday. It’s called Starryyelp. I don’t know what it’s about really. The songs title is about the recent solar blasts. I am quite sensitive to energies and I see their results in my art everyday. I see patterns and see how energies flow. I haven’t recorded anything today so far.

So below you will find a remix by the San Francisco based artist, memes (without a capital M). Above you will find a photograph by Katie Cooper from Manchester. She does far more than that Hipstamatic stuff, people like me snap and upload so check her out over at her flickr and to top it off - all of her photography is released under creative commons (nice!). (Well back too the music) It’s a remix of the track Torture originally by Edan and Percee P. Why do I rate it? It’s got funk man and not too mention, it’s yours to download for free.

I found out about this artist called patten (without a capital P) only today. Have I been deaf? Probably not far from the truth. I live in my little bubble, infact so much so Lady GaGa was already the world’s most famous popstar before I ever heard her name. I don’t know, is patten already massive? Well I think he should be. The track below is known as Blush Mosaic. It’s beautiful and it’s from patten’s album titled, GLAQJO XAACSSO out on the 26th of September via No Pain in Pop. This beautiful song comes presented by a beautiful video directed by Jane Eastlight.

So there’s been a pattern emerging today.. both artists refuse to have there names starting with a capital letter (as per grammatical norms). Is it because it looks cool, or a rebellion against grammar? It could simply be that caps lock doesn’t work on their keyboards. Fair enough.
This third fella, is not entirely fella at all, and to enforce todays pattern, he/she also starts her/his name without a capital letter. It’s leeDVD; a Warsaw based Polish duo who I believe are also more popularly known as Fuka Lata. At the time I first downloaded there album First I Love I couldn’t find anything else about this band on the net. That was sometime last year and the netlabel it was released on was birdsong (with a captial B) and it can still be downloaded from there for free. Infact all music on birdsong netlabel is released under creative commons. I like the idea of creative commons and I have also released some of my music under CC and will do so again in the future. The player below will stream the entire album, but make sure you download it in full quality from here.

Today I feel we should end on a note. One note that stretches out an entire track. “But it’s one note anybody could have wrote it, anybody could have done that.” “Yeah but guess who did write it,” Tenacious D.

Jatinder Singh Durhailay is contemporary visual artist and a student of a Indian classical instrument; the Dilruba. My Punjabi language skills aren’t so hot but I know the first part of the instruments name, ‘dil’ translates as ‘heart’ and once you listen too the track below you should realise why. A beautiful rendition of Malkauns. The above photo is also by Jatinder, and you can check out his artwork over at his website.

Now my challenge is too find something that would move on nicely from Malkauns. How about this -

Synth electronics seamlessly fusing with the folk acoustics of Laura Marling. Did Engine Earz do a good job? Absolutely.

I first came across a Soundcloud group called New Weird America last year and was pleasantly surprised by vibes I had never experienced before. Over the last year I have even contributed a few works myself. The groups founder is a lady called, Heidi Harris. Today I share with you the folkess beauty of Heidi’s album, Victorian Canary. It’s fairly long so mellow out and sit back.
You can connect with Heidi over at her Facebook.

Melancholy with a smack a violence and a hint of hope. This is what feel from the track Moszquecho by my friend, J Alexander Finch.
So did this track transport you? It did from me. You can check out more from this artist over at his Soundcloud (well worth checking out).

Some good retro synth pop.. it’s called Incubator in progress by the visual artist and musician Kisses from Kopernik (Damien Bonneau) from Budapest. Above is an artwork by Damien titled, Stolen Kiss and I feel its real great. If you like what you’ve heard, show this artist your support over at his Facebook page.

Next up is AyGeeTee, an artist I came too now about via Lara Shahd of Coco’s OCD. This track is titled Thread and is part of the album titled, Soul which is available for download from his Bandcamp page (for potentially free). I like his style and the childlike playfulness in a Picasso-esque way.

So this fella called Debruit (sorry can’t do that foreign e thing on this my keyboard: fail) was recommended too me by a good friend.. and I got too say although I don’t love this track as much as he does, it’s still well worth sharing.

Nitin Garg is a fella I first came to know about via his design work many years ago. Then somehow I stumbled across him on Soundcloud and over the months I have seen his musical work develop and is one of my favourite Soundclouders. His work is mostly ambient and he uses real subtlety and is engrossing. I feel he shares a narrative in Early Experiments which I know from experience isn’t always easy. Connect with him over at his Tumblr.

Sikh Knowledge is an artist whose had a tough (and public) journey though through his perseverance we have been lucky enough too hear his admirable results. He hails from Montreal and I came too know about his via his work producing for the hip hop artist Humble the Poet. I respect both these artists. I share with you his track, Vlad Partida.

>All is fire, in passion’s kiln
All is fire, in passion’s kiln; whilst drying my green lumber
From felling too now, she the sawmill hungers
Debarking my soul, to take its control
Extracting my core, to taste its furor
All is fire, in passion’s kiln; whilst baking my malted barley
The grains from which soon whiskey pour
Brews my nectar, as her sheath takes its sword
Then sprouts my spore, we germinate once more
All is fire, in passion’s kiln; whilst fusing my ferrous earth
Her heat bellows with countless a gasp
Smelting my ore, to loosen emotion
Scraping my scrap, to bestow my being’s best potion
All is fire, in passion’s kiln; whilst firing my potter’s clay
Her hands caressed, my now splendid display
Baking my body, to make the changeless change
After tending my senses, with her artistic play
All is fire, in passion’s kiln; whilst burning my soon burnt body
Cremated I will lay, just dust today
My parched heart, all but vapor in her mind’s cloud
Beatless its beat, howbeit for her it beats
